holding at 10 miles
Well, I was able to do 10 miles again this morning. This time I biked Telegraph. It didn't seem as hard as Olympic Pkwy. Then again, maybe my "bike legs" are just getting more used to it. I tried going up Paseo Ranchero again. Got a little further, but still had to stop and walk it up to the top.
Now to counter-act the healthy bike ride with a chicken enchilada and beef tamale at El Indio.

I don't bike Telegraph much, but I do think it is a bit flatter. I don't ride it because I hate the surface.
Chula Vista really screwed over cyclist when they wasted our money unneccesarily repaved a bunch of the roads around here with the cheapest surface around.
All of the recently repaved roads have this rock surface mixed with tar. I'm sure it was the cheapest surface available. It's a disgrace. And frankly it's unsafe to road cyclists. Whoever picked that surface is a moron. They should have just waited a few years and used a better surface but repave less often.
Atleast with all the budget problems the city is having I know they won't be repaving any other roads for a while.
But good job on the ride. I've been sick lately, so I have not been able to get out as much as I would like lately.

I did notice the surface was a bit "gravelly" on Telegraph. I'll probably try Olympic again.
I actually want to try Otay Lakes Rd to Bonita Rd. Now that'll be a ride back up. But not yet.
Hope you feel better.

That's actualy a funny ride. You'll see from the road surface when you go from Chula Vista to Bonita on Otay Lakes Rd.
Also be careful if you come back on H st from Otay Lakes. There is a bike lane at the start, but then it disappears all of a sudden. There is enough room, but it's a bit tight.
But that is a pretty big hill coming back up Otay lakes from Bonita. Good luck with that one.
